 Bodhi has the cook-top running and the kitchen full of the scent of spices before Galen gets out if the fresher.

He waves a stick of some stingy herb at Galen. "You are a terrible temptation. And a distraction." And his smiles says he loves Galen for it.

Bodhi hums an agreement, enjoying his curry, even if it's getting cold. "I should start working out. Just in case."

"Throw bigger rocks, kick bigger asses?" Galen says, between two bites.

[imthepilot]

"If needed." He nods. "I'm not a fighter but that doesn't mean I won't. If needed."

[galen_erso]

"We never know what might be needed," Galen says. "I better start working out as well."

[imthepilot]

"We can work out together. If you like?" There's something very appealing about getting sweaty with Galen.

[galen_erso]

"We can," Galen says. "The chief medic will approve."

[imthepilot]

"I'll take to her, see what she thinks is best."

[galen_erso]

"Anything that pulls at your scars is definitely bad," Galen agrees.

[imthepilot]

"And I have to learn how to work with them." Bodhi shrugs. "Those scars are part of me now."

[galen_erso]

"And part of what connects us," Galen says. "With their small counterpart on my body."

[imthepilot]

Bodhi reaches out to touch Galen's hand. "I don't regret it. Ever. I'd do it again and more, if it came to that."

Galen turns his hand around to hold Bodhi's.

"I know," he says softly. "For me. I feel -- humbled."

[imthepilot]

Bodhi holds Galen's hand, just... looking into his eyes. "Because I love you. Because you matter."

[galen_erso]

"As you matter to me, so very much," Galen says. "So intensely much."

[imthepilot]

"I'm just a necessary pebble." Bodhi shrugs. "But when the time comes, I'll be your pilot."

[galen_erso]

"You are my pilot, even without a ship," Galen says.

Bodhi gives a small, slightly sad smile and nods, leaning over to kiss Galen before starting to clean up.

Galen gets up to help him; ha can do this, even if he is not much use for cooking.

Bodhi stops what he's doing to pull Galen into a kiss. He's not good at this, at being in love. At being with someone. Sometimes he needs time to make things made sense. He looks into Galen's eyes. "I love you. And I'm your pilot. Always yours."

"And I'm always yours," Galen says. "That's what love is about."

He holds Bodhi close.

"I never thought I would have this again..."

[imthepilot]

"I never thought I'd have this at all." Bodhi answer, fragile and honest.

[galen_erso]

Galen holds him close for another deep kiss. "Now you do," he says. "Neither of us has to be lonely again."

[imthepilot]

Bodhi shakes his head and smiles. He still doesn't feel like he deserves it and part of him is waiting for the other shoe to drop. But he knows Galen means it. "Thank you."

[galen_erso]

"We will probably be very alone, at times, in the coming months," Galen says, softly, "but not lonely. Because we know the other exists."

"You're always here." He brings Galen's hand to his heart, his own hand resting over the burn on Galen's side.
