AU - Delta Base with friends

The first month after Endor is the busiest Bodhi has seen things for the Alliance since the evacuation of Hoth. Despite Mothma promoting him to Delta Base’s commander, he’s been off base more often than not. Rogue Strike were busy too.

With Galen cleared to know about his mission, Bodhi always leaves messages when he has to leave in a hurry. But mostly he finds Galen and talks to him before he leaves. It’s getting harder and harder for Bodhi to go as things get more comfortable between them.

The sex hasn’t been the same though. Since that first time, Bodhi has been careful. Very careful. Giving and loving but controlled. As if he’s afraid to hurt Galen again.

To manage the base in Bodhi’s absence, Mothma appoints him a pair of adjuncts – young Nika who turns out to be quite a resourceful young man, especially when it comes to finding scientific equipment for Galen. The other is a stern Twi'lek woman named Dana. Her blue skin shaded to purple around a network of heavy scars, the tip of one lekku permanently twisted by a deep cut. Harshly fair but dispassionate, Dana keeps things on track and organised in Bodhi’s absences but doesn’t mix with the others on base much.

Bodhi sends a message to Galen via Dana, letting him know he’ll be back soon. And that some friends are coming to Delta to see him. And to meet Galen.

"Do you mind if we wait until Wedge is out? I'd- I want him to be there. He's-" He doesn't quite say family but that's the way it feels sometimes.

[galen_erso]

"Of course," Galen says. "I want him to be there, too. He's important to you, and so far, I have liked all your friends. I'm glad none of them hates me."

[imthepilot]

"Why would they hate you?" Bodhi steps back a little, his hand still resting on Galen's side. Craving warmth. Craving contact.

And he hasn't met Leia yet. Bodhi doesn't think she would hold what happened to Alderaan against Galen.

"Because I used to be an Imp and helped build those monsters?" Galen says.

[imthepilot]

He touches Galen's chin, making Galen look at him. "You are the father of hope, Galen. You gave your life to break the Death Star from within."

That was the legacy Bodhi worked hard to be sure Galen had.

[galen_erso]

Galen looks at Bodhi, and kisses him.

They can never be ordinary, but they can own what they are. Bodhi is right.

They are what people need them to be. Outside this room, anyway.

Here, together, they can be who they are. Even if Bodhi is struggling to find what that means.

He kisses back, the kiss slowly gaining heat and passion. A hunger he's kept tightly reined since that first time.

"Bodhi," Galen murmurs, his lips opening to his lover, willing and soft.

There's something again the way Galen says his name. Something that lights a fire in the pit of his stomach. He holds Galen close, plundering his mouth to deepen the kiss.

Galen clings and steps backwards, wanting to feel more of Bodhi, of this wonderful heat.

Bodhi's metal arm tightens around Galen's waist, pulling Galen flush against him.

He kisses down Galen's throat but keeps himself from marking Galen this time. Not after the way Niko looked at him the first time.

"I want you," Galen pants, pulling at Bodhi's clothes. Needing to feel skin.

[imthepilot]

Bodhi nods and breaking off, pulling his shirt over his head and dumping it on the floor. He kisses Galen again before reaching for the hem of Galen's shirt too.

There's a fresh bruise across Bodhi's ribs but he doesn't seem to notice.

But Galen does.

He reaches out to touch it. "What happened?"

Bodhi shrugs, looking down at the mark. "One of the Imperial officer who tortured Wedge resisted arrest." Bodhi's tone implies that the Imperial came out worse for it.

[galen_erso]

Galen runs his finger over it. "I don't suppose he resisted long?"

Implying the same thing.

[imthepilot]

"No. No, he didn't." Bodhi mutters darkly.

He shakes it off and pulls Galen's hand away from the mark. "That's not important now. It's done." He doesn't want to think about how much he wanted to kill the man. He just wants to hold Galen.

[galen_erso]

Galen pulls him close again, and kisses him deeply.

[imthepilot]

Bodhi relaxes into the kiss, letting the worry and stress go. This is why he needs Galen, needs this - safety, family. A place to call home.

He steps forward, inching Galen towards the bed.

[galen_erso]

"I want you," Galen murmurs, happy to be pushed along. "All of you."

[imthepilot]

"I need you." Bodhi answers. And it is a soul deep truth. Not just the sex, he needs Galen. To keep him sane.

He wraps his metal arm around Galen, lifting him and lowering him onto the bed. Showing his strength.

Galen moans, clinging to Bodhi with something resembling greed.

He will show Bodhi his own strength in turn, again -- but not today. This new, strong, hard Bodhi is still deeply arousing to him.

[imthepilot]

Bodhi crouches over Galen, kissing a line down his throat and across his shoulders. He finds a spot just below Galen's collarbone, a spot that won't show under the collar of the soft tunic shirts Galen wears these days.

He wants, needs to mark Galen, to claim him. There's something primal, visceral about it, about feeling Galen's skim heat under his mouth, about holding Galen as he bites down to redden the flesh.

Indeed, and it means that Galen throws back his head and moans at being held and claimed like that.

Bodhi reaches down with his flesh hand, deftly opening Galen's fly and pushing the rest of his clothes out of the way.

He shifts as Galen's trousers pool around his ankles, sucking another mark in the flat of Galen's thigh.
