Bodhi walks upstairs, hand in hand with Galen. Kyber trots along with them, stopping every now and then to try to clean the melting snow off his fur.

"Inside, little one. I'll dry you off." As soon as he gets out of his wet boots.

"If you can inflate again after that, then I must be the old one." Bodhi chuckles.

"Well, eventually," Galen says. "After a bit. And more breakfast."

"The breakfast that's cold and ruined?" Bodhi asks archly, but his hazy smile gives him away.

[galen_erso]

"It's not ruined," Galen says. "Unless the cats ate part of it while we weren't paying attention. Did they?"

He turns his head, trying to find his breakfast -- somewhere around.

Bodhi chuckles. "Myrrh helped herself to at least one piece of bacon. As far as I know the rest is safe." he points languidly at the tray balanced precariously in the edge of the bed.

Galen peers at it. "What do we need to reheat?"

[imthepilot]

"All of it really." Bodhi hauls himself upright with an effort. "Let me get cleaned up and I'll fry it all into something edible."

Galen helps by pushing him from behind, then sits up as well.

"What can I do?"

Bodhi groans exaggeratedly as he gets up. "You can kiss me for a start." he smiles, all too aware of every twinge and ache. As requested, he'll feel Galen for days. "And maybe make some fresh caf?"

Galen pulls him tight and kisses him deeply. "There you are," he says. "Caf to follow while you're in the bath."

"You just keep adding to the reason I love you." he sighs, squeezing Galen's hip as he heads to the bathroom.

He doesn't bother running a bath, opting instead for a quick shower. But he does take the time to dress the bleeding bite marks with a little bacta gel. He doesn't want them gone but it would do to let them get infected.

Galen wraps himself in a robe and walks into the kitchen barefoot, starts the caf and then watches it drip.

Bodhi comes up behind him, likewise dressed, and slips his arms around Galen's waist. "I love you." He whispers, kissing Galen's throat and the mark there.

Galen leans back into the touch and sighs deeply, contentedly.

"Every day I get to share with you, I just love you more." he whispers, kissing the other side of Galen's neck. "Now, let's see if I can rescue breakfast. Or turn it into lunch."

"Or maybe both?" Galen says.

The caf has finished, and he pours each of them a cup.

Bodhi kisses Galen's cheek and takes up a cup of caf, sipping as he chops up their breakfast leftovers, adding more egg and frying it all up together with some spices and veggies.

He sings as he cooks, the Twi'lek slam poetry he enjoys so much.

What he ends up with is a pair of pretty respectable plates of bubble and squeak.

Galen watches, and listens, and then peers at the plates.

"You know what?"

[imthepilot]

Bodhi cocks his head, frowning curiously. "What?"

[galen_erso]

"I am happy," Galen says. "Really, completely, effortlessly happy. Love and food, companionship and sex, cats and marriage. Everything falls into place. This is the perfect morning because it's neither planned nor staged, it's just us and what we feel and like. This is what it feels like."

[imthepilot]

Bodhi puts the plates down and pulls Galen into a kiss. "That's all I ever wanted. Your happiness. And mine."

He rests his forehead against Galen's, just revelling in the moment.
